Common API mistakes and how to avoid them

The advice in this article applies to any API. However, some of the issues we’ll consider are easier to encounter when the application is written in a dynamic language, such as JavaScript, versus a more static language, such as Java.Node.js is sometimes referred to as the glue which holds system oriented architecture together due to the ease of communicating with multiple backend services and stitching the results together. For these reasons the examples we’ll look at will be written in Node.js-flavored JavaScript.
